In the summer of 2022, they met at a young adults Bible study—MaryKate had simply been seeking new friends in her new city, but God had other plans. Over the course of that transformative summer, their paths continuously crossed. They discovered they were both gearing up to participate in their company’s golf tournament, so they teamed up for the scramble. Even though it could be said MaryKate crushed Jack on the course, the day full of entertaining moments set the stage for something more.

Later that summer, when a group biking night ended up just being the two of them, Jack found a rare opportunity to individually learn more about MaryKate. Encouraged by genuine connection and meaningful conversations, Jack finally summoned the courage to ask her out, and she surprised even herself with her quick “sure” response. Their first date was nothing short of perfect—a paddle boarding adventure on LadyBird Lake paired with a lakeside picnic that offered breathtaking views of the Austin skyline.

As autumn unfolded, Jack remained determined, going on countless well-planned dates while patiently waiting for MaryKate to open her heart. If you know MaryKate, you understand this was a significant feat! Since capturing her heart, the couple has built a life filled with adventure from international travels and a triathlon, to multiple ski and hiking trips, and three seasons of cheering on the Longhorns. Every shared experience deepens their bond, and now, with excitement and gratitude in their hearts, they look forward to building a lifetime of adventures together!

Jack popped the question on the top of Park City Mountain in Utah on a ski trip — one of the activities the couple loves sharing together the most! Despite months of suspicion, Jack orchestrated an incredible surprise bringing MK to tears in one of her favorite places on earth!  

MaryKate and Jack are excited to celebrate their marriage with close friends and family in March 2026.
